Blog Post #275: Introducing Composer of 'Flush'!

I am delighted to introduce the final crew member of my series 'Flush'!

BEN MORRIS is the composer.

Ben is a composer and jazz pianist whose music crosses genre boundaries and tells unconventional stories that often engage with the natural world. With a Doctor of Musical Arts degree, Ben shares his talent and experience as Assistant Professor of Composition at Stephen F. Austin State University. He also regularly writes for and collaborates with unique ensembles that blur established genre expectations. His education, collaborations and extensive grant recipience have allowed him to take his music all over the world. This is our 8th collaboration.

Ben recently completed a lively concerto grosso for jazz combo which reflects the varied tapestry of American landscapes through jazz and wind ensemble, titled 'American Mosaic'. It is available to view on YouTube here!
