Blog Post #281: A Kind Gesture From 'Speed Racer' Actor Paulie Litt!

You're looking at actor Paulie Litt's inscription adorning a frame of a very special ticket stub from 2008. Two weeks ago, I enjoyed an IMAX re-release screening of the Wachowski sisters' film Speed Racer (my most beloved work of cinema since I first experienced it) and posted about it on social media along with a photo of my 18-year-old stub. Paulie (Spritle Racer) interacted with my post and graciously offered to sign the framed memento. So, I sent him the frame and also enclosed a copy of my book 20 Years a Filmmaker as a gift. Today, I received the signed item and a thoughtful note from Paulie. In all, an incredibly meaningful exchange as Speed Racer gave my engine a much-needed jump all those years ago and I've never stopped singing its praises! "Go Speed, Go!"
