Should there be a future, film production will completely detach from a manual, photochemical and even photonic reality. With automated tools related to but far in advance of our contemporary ones, cinema of both long and short form will be produced in the same manner as a writer who authors a book, a composer who fashions a score or a painter who subordinates a canvas; in other words, a relatively solitary, costless and intensive process limited only by the talent, time and discipline of the practitioner.
